I woke up this morning to find TCM is no longer on my cable line-up. After an online search I found out that Comcast has moved TCM to a SPORTS PACKAGE!?!?! WtF?? Some comments stated it's because people are "cutting the cord" with cable so Comcast is trying to squeeze as many dollars out of its remaining customers as possible. Nice business practice. Anyway, someone at TCM needs to get this rectified. Can't they pressure Comcast? Or are we local chapter fans being abandoned completely? I neither want, nor can afford an extra package on the cable bill. Ridiculous.

I was checking around and, although I'm not in a rural area anymore, I'm on a main street rather than in a neighborhood and I keep getting "Not available in your area" when I check other options. Ugh. I'll keep looking. I did see a forum where tons of customers are furious, so maybe a wave of anger will actually do something.
I wondered if calling would do any good. I'm still looking around for something else as well. It's so frustrating. I find it hard to believe more people watch "COZY" than TCM, so their excuse of low viewer numbers rings hollow to me. When you son finds something, please post the information. If I find anything I'll do the same. Thanks!
I hate what Comcast did with TCM and protested vehemently with them! My only choices were to upgrade or go with a different provider. My house is located in a wooded area and my options are limited, so I decided to pay the extra $9.99 to keep TCM. However, I can cancel at anytime. My son is helping me to search for other affordable options. Once I do, I will cut ties with Comcast/XFinity.
I dropped cable several years ago and have not missed it at all. I stream TCM on Sling TV through an Amazon Fire Stick on my TV. Even subscribing to several streaming services (Sling, Hulu, Shudder, CBS All Access) I pay a lot less each month than I did with cable.
I do know that ATT Uverse, Dish, & Xfinity all offer TCM as part of the regular package. We currently have ATT Uverse, but are planning on changing carriers. Pat is making sure that every carrier that we look into carries TCM as part of our package. It may be worth looking into it. As a consumer, you likely have more power than TCM itself. Look into other companies and once you have their prices, call Comcast and advise them that you are changing carriers unless they add TCM to your package and lower their rates to meet or beat the competition. Just a thought...
Thanks! It's just so ridiculous. Comcast is so greedy.
Ben, we've been researching different cable plans. You may want to check on Amazon to see if you can purchase TCM on a monthly plan. I know you can purchase different channels from Amazon on a monthly plan. Another thing we've been looking into going that route, too. Just a thought. I don't know the specifics as Pat is doing the research.
