So much going on for TCMBacklotATL in the month of February! This past Friday night, we revisited the gorgeous Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square to see "Casablanca". The screening was preceded by a very entertaining live organ preshow.
And THAT was preceded by fantastic food at Hawg and Ale Smokehouse the proprietor of which (Buddy Finethy!)turned out to be an old friend of Chapter member Rachelle - small world! Consequently, for dessert we were feted with a uniquely Southern delicacy: a deep-fried MoonPie topped with vanilla Ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce!!! It has to be experienced to be believed. But yes, it was good enough to make you slap your mamma, hoooooo boy!!!
