Very special afternoon attending the TCM/Fathom Events screening of Frank Capra's "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington." Amazing how a film from so long ago could celebrate the ideals of our system of government and portray both the idealism & the corruption of the people involved in it so accurately & with such prescience. There is no beating the earnestness of Jimmy Stewart, his chemistry with Jean Arthur nor the cavalcade of supporting actors of that era - What an amazing film!!!
