If you love classics and some horror, October is for you!
I know we all have busy schedules, but there are a great variety of films on several different days this month throughout our area. You can RSVP to some upcoming events here. Our first one is Rope on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Midtown Art Cinema.
Alien is the TCM/Fathom screening this month. It's back to our usual time of 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. It's also the film's 40-year anniversary.
But that's not all:
Emory's series on Billy Wilder continues every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. And it's FREE.
Sunset Boulevard on Oct. 2
Ace in the Hole on Oct. 9
Stalag 17 on Oct. 16
Sabrina on Oct. 23
Some Like It Hot on Oct. 30
Midtown Art Cinema has its "Midtown Cinema Classics" series every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12. We get a Hitchcock classic right away this month and then one of Orson Welles' masterpieces next month.
Rope on Oct. 1
One Sings, the Other Doesn't on Oct. 8
Tokyo Twilight on Oct. 15
Young Frankenstein on Oct. 22
Frankenstein on Oct. 29
Night on Earth on Nov. 5
The Magnificent Ambersons on Nov. 12
The Strand in Marietta also has some Halloween-themed screenings this month:
Young Frankenstein at 8 p.m. on Oct. 18
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1920 silent film accompanied live by an organist) at 3 p.m. on oct. 27
We're limited to highlighting only seven at a time on our website calendar (at least for now), so I spotlighted some of them here. And don't forget to RSVP!
See y'all soon!
